Golf Competition Fees Increase

The Board, in collaboration with the Men’s & Women’s Golf Committees, recently conducted a review of fees to enter competition golf events. This review was influenced by a number of factors and after careful consideration the decision has been made to increase golf competition fees, effective from 1st July 2023.

Factors that influenced the Club’s decision to increase golf competition fees include:

  • The cost of golf competition fees at neighbouring Golf Clubs, including how much they return to their players in competition prizes. Click here to view the Golf Competition Fees Competitor Analysis.
  • The fact that it is Club policy that 50% of competition fees goes back into player prizemoney
  • The increased costs to administer golf comps including Pro Shop costs, the MiClub scoring app and associated golf booking systems via the Club website & app.
  • The Club hasn’t increased golf competition fees for 4 years.

Mens golf competition fees will increase to $13.
Women’s golf competition fees will increase to $12.

The $2 increase in fees is broken down as follows:

  • $1 is allocated to a new hole-in-one competition (we will announce details of this in a separate communication).
  • $0.50 allocated to prizemoney (under the 50% policy that half of all entry fees are allocated to the prizemoney of the competition).
  • $0.50 allocated to the Club to cover increased costs, including staff and admin costs.
