For the month of July all Warragul Country Club Members have the chance to win a trip for two to Hamilton Island, including the following:

  • 1 x $750 Flight Centre voucher

  • 3 nights accommodation at the Reef View Hotel, including a full buffet breakfast for two adults, return Hamilton Island airport/marina to hotel transfers, use of the scheduled ‘Island Shuttle’ service, unlimited use of catamarans, paddle skis, windsurfers and snorkeling equipment, and Kids Stay and Eat Free Program (conditions apply).

 

To redeem your daily entry ticket to go into the draw to win the July Member Rewards prize, Members must:

  1. Swipe your card at the Member Rewards Kiosk upon entry at the Club to print and receive your entry ticket (one entry available from the Kiosk everyday).
  2. Place your entry ticket into the letterbox labelled “Member Rewards” located in the foyer.
This promotion will run from 9am on Monday 1st July 2024 to 11.59pm on Thursday 1st August 2024. The prize draw is conducted at the Warragul Country Club on Friday 2nd August 2024 at 9am.

Young Members 6 Hole Ambrose Event

Young Members 6 Hole Ambrose Event

Put a team together and play in our FREE Young Member 6 Hole Ambrose Event on Friday 12th July 2024.

Open to all Warragul Country Club Junior & Under 25 Golf Members, the event will be a fun day out with some great prizes up for grabs.

Date: Friday 12th July 2024

Time: 1:30pm registration for a 2:00pm tee time

Entry Fee: FREE entry

Teams: Teams of 4 (plus an adult Member assigned as a “Team Captain”)

Golf Event: 6 Hole Ambrose Big Hole Golf

How to play Ambrose: Each player hits off the tee, the best shot is selected and all other players pick up their ball and place it, within one handspan, alongside the best ball. Each person then hits a second shot from the same spot. The best shot is again selected. This continues until the ball is in the hole. On the putting green the best ball is marked and the other balls are played from this position.

Don’t stress if you can’t get a team together, or have an official handicap, the Pro Shop Team will allocate one on the day for you.

After the 6 holes, teams will meet in the Clubhouse (approximately 4pm), for presentations and complimentary food and beverages. The event will conclude at approximately 4.30pm/5pm. Parents are more than welcome to attend.

Term 3 Junior Golf Clinics

Term 3 Junior Golf Clinics

Tuesday & Saturday golf is back! Get the kids involved in our Term 3 Junior Golf Clinics. These clinics are run by Craig McIntosh, and will be broken down into 7 sessions covering all areas of the game from full swing, putting, chipping, bunkers and more.

In addition to the clinic, participants will also receive a FREE introductory Junior Golf Membership to the Club (valued at $65), which provides key benefits like free green fees, free range balls plus more. Vale ~ David Smith

It is with great sadness that Warragul Country Club Management & Board wish to advise Members of the passing of Club great, David Smith in May this year.

David began his extensive golfing career at Warragul as a junior, winning many Gippsland Schoolboy Team Championships. He went on to play professionally around the world, noting some of his remarkable achievements as an Eisenhower Cup Representative and an Australian Matchplay Champion. David’s portrait remains proud in the Clubhouse as a memoir of David’s history and success.

The Club extends its deepest condolences to David’s family.

School Holiday Junior Golf Clinics

Get the kids out for a fun day at the Warragul Country Club these school holidays with our Junior Golf Clinic, hosted by Club PGA Professional, Craig McIntosh.

This clinic is the perfect introduction or refresher for your little one to get into golf. It is broken down to focus on key skills, fundamentals, and games, finishing off with some fun on-course play. The Club also provides all participants with equipment for use on the day, making it accessible for all. Open to all levels of golfers, this clinic is best suited to children aged 8 years as it runs for a three-hour block.
