(Another) Hole In One Competition Winner

The Club would like to congratulate Jackson Giles who hit a hole in one on the 7^th hole on Tuesday 6^th February 2024!

In 2023 the Club initiated a Hole In One Competition to provide Members who hit Hole In One with a reward and further to recognise their outstanding achievement. Jackson is the second Member to win the Competition and won the $4,277 prize pool for his outstanding shot as well as recognition on the Club’s Honor Board. This is the Warragul Country Club’s second Hole In One in 2024, will the trend of monthly winners continue?

The prize pool now reverts back to the minimum $1,000 as at Wednesday 7^th February 2024.

2024 Mixed Foursomes Championships

Entries are now open for this years JJ McDonough Mixed Foursomes Championships.

Day: Sunday 18th February 2024

Time: Multi Tee Start from 12pm

MIXED FOURSOMES FORMAT A team shall consist of one male player and one female player. The team handicap is half the players combined handicaps.

The male player shall tee off all the odd numbered holes and ladies the even numbered holes. The ball is then played alternately until the ball is holed out.

NOTE: It is the players responsibility to be aware of the specific rules of golf for Foursomes.

PRIZES: Prizes shall be awarded in the following categories:

1. Foursomes Champions
2. Runners Up

iii. Nett Winners

Nett Runners Up

Other prizes as determined by the Event Committee and depending on the number of entrants. – The same team shall NOT be awarded both Gross and Nett prizes.

Leading 4 nett scores (if available) will be eligible for the George Lowe Trophy, Handicap matchplay to be played;

Semi Final: Sunday 25th February 2024 (1 v 4 & 2 v 3)

Final: Sunday 3rd March 2024 (subject to finalists)

Hole In One Competition Winner

The Club would like to congratulate Phil Fennell who hit a hole in one on the 19^th hole on Saturday 20^th January!

Thanks to the Club’s Hole In One Competition, Phil was also the first Member to win the newly introduced Competition and won the $8,000 prize pool for his outstanding shot.

The Hole In One competition was introduced in 2023 to recognise and reward Club Members who achieve, what most would consider, a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. In accordance with the Golf Committees terms and conditions the pool is capped at $8,000 and all subsequent pool contributions are accumulated into the next prize pool. The current prize pool for this Competition is approximately $3,340 as at Wednesday 24^th January 2024.
