Men’s Pennant 2025 EOI

Golf West Gippsland 2025 Pennant Season is set to get underway on Sunday February 2. 

 
The Club is looking to put together a squad of players for our 3 teams, Scratch 1, Handicap Division 1 & Handicap Division 2.
 
Team Captains for 2025 are:
 
Scratch: Ryan Percy
 
Handicap 1: Tony Cardillo
 
Handicap 2: Warren Butcher 
 
For those interested in representing the club in this team match play format, we invite you to fill out the form below, and one of our team captains will be in touch with you over the coming weeks. 
 
For any new members to the Club, this is a fantastic opportunity to get to know your fellow members, all while playing some of the surrounding clubs in the district.

Annual Christmas Mixed Hamper Event

Annual Christmas Mixed Hamper Event

Our Annual Christmas Mixed Hamper event was a huge success! Despite the early start, the weather couldn’t have been better, and the course was in perfect condition—ideal for the upcoming Super 6 tournament.

It was a fantastic day filled with incredible scores, plenty of fun, and, of course, great banter amongst everyone. It’s always a pleasure to see our members enjoying the day together, and this year was no exception.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, with 24 pairs on the course.

We look forward to seeing you on the course again soon and we wish you all a merry Christmas and safe New Year.”

Introducing Mr 59

Introducing Mr 59
Connor McKinney made history at the Gippsland Super 6 by shooting a remarkable 59, marking the first sub-60 score on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia in its current form since 2005. After a steady 2-under front nine, McKinney finished his round with a stunning 9-under back nine, including seven birdies and an eagle on his final hole. His round catapulted him to 12-under, just 5 shots behind leader Ben Henkel. McKinney’s second-round performance is considered one of the lowest nine-hole scores in Australian golf history.

Welcoming Justin Paull to the Pro Shop Team 

Welcoming Justin Paull to the Pro Shop Team 

We are excited to share that Justin Paull has joined us in the Pro Shop as he begins his journey through the Associate Pathway Programme in 2025, which was formerly known as the PGA Traineeship. This three-year programme is designed to equip him with valuable, real-world skills, while he also works toward achieving a nationally accredited diploma in his area of interest within the golf industry.

Throughout the programme, Justin will gain hands-on experience via hours in the Shop, face-to-face and virtual training schools, as well as online learning. In addition to these workplace and academic requirements, the programme also includes participation in Professional Golf Tournaments to meet the PGA’s Playing Requirements.

As Justin begins his journey with us, please take a moment to introduce yourselves and offer your support as he navigates this exciting new chapter in his professional development.
