Kevin O'Brien Presidents & Captains Trophy

Saturday 29th November saw the unveiling of the Kevin O’Brien Memorial Trophy which be played for every men’s President vs Captains day.
It was very pleasing to see a near full clubhouse after golf to be on hand to see the trophy presented to the winners in front of Kevin’s family.
We look forward to honouring Kevin each and every year with this trophy.
Judging by the photo’s, not hard to see which team won on the day!!

More changes to golf @ the Country Club

Dear Members,
Preferred lies will be removed from the temporary local rules from 4th December 2020.
This means that no more relief will be available through the green unless under penalty.
Please note: Bunker rakes are still removed from bunkers and preferred lies is still available.  This policy is to be reviewed over coming weeks.

Warragul Country Club Board Elections

The AGM of Warragul Country Club will be held at 7:30pm on Monday 30^th November 2020. Eligible Members have been emailed the AGM Agenda. The following Members have nominated for election to the Board.

1. Lyn Morrison
2. Carmen Christie
3. Jeff Miles
4. Paul Mitchell

As there are 4 nominations for 3 Director Positions a Ballot is to be conducted in accordance with the Club rules.
Eligible Members can cast their vote in two ways:

1. At the AGM.
2. By pre-poll voting. This can only be done at the Club’s reception desk, 7 days prior to the AGM from 8.30am on Monday 23rd November 2020 to 7:30pm on Monday 30th November.

Votes will be counted and the result declared at the AGM.

Age shooter

Following on from a great weekend of achievements, it was pleasing to see Bob Veitch come out and better his age in the Tuesday comp.
Bob has achieved this feat a few times, similar to other club members Alan Walker and John Andrew to name a few, but it is still a great achievement never the less.
Apparently Bob was more annoyed at not having anyone to bet against than wiping the 14th hole!!
Well done again Bob.
