Venue Closure on Mondays

Venue Closure on Mondays

Members are advised that from next Monday 28 September the Club will close its Venue operations every Monday until further notice. Please note that this excludes our Golf Course and Pro Shop operations.

The reasons for this decision are as follows:

  • From Monday 28 September there are significant cuts to JobKeeper payments. This now means that it is no longer possible for the Club’s wage costs to be fully funded by JobKeeper, as they have been up until now.
  • Monday is our less patronised day of the week.
  • The current patron restrictions (20 indoors and 50 outdoors) means that the customer impact of this decision is not great.
  • It is a financially responsible and prudent action.

This is an interim decision that I expect will be in place for what we hope is only 8 weeks based on the following assumptions.

  • The Government’s COVID Roadmap indicates the “last step” to be taken on 23 November 2020, subject to the COVID case thresholds being met.
  • The “last step” enables indoor dining and the much anticipated reopening of gaming.

From 23 November 2020 the Club expects to get back to some normality which includes resumption of indoor dining, less patron restrictions and the opening of gaming.

For now, you can still enjoy the Club 6 days a week. Our operating hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 11.30am to 9.30pm (or later if required).

Our Bistro remains open for lunch and dinner for the following times:

Tuesday to Sunday Lunch: 12pm – 2pm

Tuesday to Thursday & Sunday Dinner: 5.30pm – 8pm

Friday and Saturday Dinner: 5.30pm – 9pm

The Bar is open Tuesday to Sunday from 3pm to 5pm, it is important to note that outside these hours the Bar is closed due to patron restrictions.

I wish to acknowledge the support the Club is receiving from Members during these difficult times. We look forward to a return to normal operations over the coming months and Members being able to enjoy the full range of Member services.

PRO SHOP
The Pro Shop will be open and operate as per normal

Recommendation for players to remain in (or next to) their cars until closer to their starting time.
All players to check in with Pro Shop before teeing off.

PRACTICE FACILITIES/AMENITIES
Practice Fairway will now be open.  No more than 10 people practicing at one time.

The putting greens will reopen with no more than 8 people practicing at one time per green.
The Locker room and on-course toilets will be open.
Golf lessons will be available adhering to social distancing restrictions.  Bookings available online.

GOLF CARTS
A restriction of 1 person per golf cart is still deemed necessary to adhere to social distancing directions by the Health Department guidelines.  This applies to both Club and privately owned carts.  Again, these are measures we must comply with, to minimise the risk of infection.
This will place a greater demand on our golf cart fleet so please if you require a golf cart make sure that you book it in advance with the Pro Shop.
Exception:
Family members may ride together.

OTHER
Members are reminded that they should not enter the Club grounds if they are feeling unwell.
The wearing of masks is still mandatory whilst playing golf.

* These restrictions will be reviewed regularly to ensure they are compliant with COVID-19 National and State Health Compliance requirements and may be subject to amendment at very short notice.
